SnowRunner Season 19: Research and Restore came out on October 20, 2026 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, the developers announced in a Steam post. The season takes SnowRunner back to what the post calls “the game’s winter roots,” with three new maps in a Swiss canton.
The Details
The setting. After “an especially harsh start to winter,” a Swiss canton needs help. The jobs the post lists:
- repair an old viaduct;
- protect roads from avalanches;
- help a hot-air balloon festival take flight;
- and the main mission: restore a space observatory and deliver its delicate optical instruments.
Season 19 spreads that work across three vast maps.
Two new trucks:
- Wortek 250T: a versatile Heavy-class truck with “a huge selection of add-ons” and one of the largest fuel tanks in the game.
- 8×8 Derry Savior: three steering axles give it better maneuverability on top of its pulling power.
The free update alongside it improves the two latest Mercedes-Benz trucks and fixes crashes on Nintendo Switch 2, among other changes listed in the patch notes.
Season 19 is part of the Year 5 Pass, so pass owners get it with no extra purchase.
What This Means for Players
If you own the Year 5 Pass, the new maps and trucks are already waiting. The Derry Savior’s three steering axles should make tight mountain switchbacks easier than with older 8×8 trucks. The observatory job, with its “delicate” cargo, sounds like the season’s real test of careful driving.
If you like physics-heavy driving more broadly, BeamNG.drive just reached consoles: our story on BeamNG.drive’s PS5 launch covers what changed, and our BeamNG.drive guides explain the PS5 version’s price and multiplayer.
