Forza Horizon 6 has 15 Barn Finds, and they unlock through your Discover Japan Stamps rather than your Festival Wristbands: each new Stamp reveals more Barn Find rumors as search areas on the map. The last two barns only appear once you earn the Gold Stamp and become a Master Explorer.
Below is the full list with the Stamp and region for each car, how to earn Stamps quickly, how to find a barn inside its search area, and how restoration works.
How Barn Finds Unlock in Forza Horizon 6
Playground Games confirmed the system in its official materials for Forza Horizon 6: Barn Finds “make their return, with clues for these rustic cars given to you as you collect Stamps for your Collection Journal.” The official FAQ says the same: collecting Stamps unlocks Barn Find Rumors, new Player Houses and The Estate.
There are 7 Stamps, earned in this order: Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple and Gold. Each has its own achievement, ending with “Master Explorer” for the Gold Stamp. You can check your progress under the Collection Journal’s Discover Japan section in the Pause menu. Players report that visiting a barn before its rumor unlocks does nothing, so there is no way to grab one early.
Every Barn Find Car, Stamp and Region
The car list below is consistent across player reports. The Stamp and region columns are player-reported and less settled, so use them to plan your route rather than as Playground’s official word.
| # | Barn Find car | Stamp that unlocks it | Region |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2005 Honda NSX-R GT | Yellow | Ohtani |
| 2 | 1969 Toyota 2000GT | Green | Ito |
| 3 | 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 | Green | Ito |
| 4 | 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R | Blue | Nangan |
| 5 | 1989 Nissan Pao | Blue | Minamino |
| 6 | 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 | Pink | Ohtani |
| 7 | 1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 | Pink | Shimanoyama |
| 8 | 1962 Lincoln Continental | Pink | Hokubu |
| 9 | 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R | Pink | Takashiro |
| 10 | 1997 Mitsubishi Montero Evolution | Orange | Shimanoyama |
| 11 | 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV | Orange | Ito |
| 12 | 1998 Nissan R390 (GT1) | Purple | Ohtani |
| 13 | 2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack | Purple | Shimanoyama |
| 14 | 1983 Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline Turbo Super Silhouette | Gold | Ito |
| 15 | 1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B | Gold | Takashiro |
The last four are race cars: the Le Mans-winning 787B, the R390 GT1, the Tomica Super Silhouette and the Time Attack Lancer. They are the reason most players push all the way to Gold.
How to Earn Discover Japan Stamps Fast
Playground’s progression blog lists what counts toward your next Stamp: collecting and customizing cars, photographing murals, smashing mascots, finding landmarks, joining Mei on her day trips, completing Street Races and Touge Battles, and working the Raku-Raku food delivery job. The quickest mix for most players:
- Smash Regional Mascots as you drive. There are hundreds (one achievement asks for 200), and they count every time.
- Run Street Races and Touge Battles. They are short, any car is allowed, and each one adds progress.
- Photograph murals and landmarks. These are quick stops while you drive between events.
- Play Mei’s day trip stories when they appear; they are built to show off each region.
- Drive new roads. Road discovery counts toward exploration, and the June 15 update added a Roads Driven percentage to each region’s overview so you can see what is left.
How to Find a Barn Inside Its Search Area
When a rumor unlocks, the map shows a wide search circle instead of an exact point. Drive into the circle and look for an old wooden barn or shed; a cutscene plays as you get close, then the car is yours.
Switch to drone mode and fly over the circle, because spotting the barn from the air is much faster than driving every side road. Playground also sells a Treasure Map add-on on the game’s store page, and players say it marks collectibles like these on your map, but you do not need it: every barn sits inside its circle.
Restoring Your Barn Find
Found cars are not drivable straight away. Players say each car takes some time to restore after you find it, and that you can pay credits to finish the restoration instantly from the Barn Finds section of your cars. If you are short on credits, our guide to making money fast covers the best sources.
Barn Finds vs Treasure Cars
Forza Horizon 6 also has Treasure Cars, which are a different system. Mei sends you photo clues for these abandoned cars as you explore, and you work out the location from the picture. Playground’s examples include the 1991 Nissan Figaro, 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo and 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. There is an achievement for claiming 9 Treasure Cars, and the October 2026 Series 6 update added another. Barn Finds, by contrast, come only from Stamp progress.
Barn Find cars are one-offs worth keeping, but your duplicate Wheelspin prizes are fair game: see how to sell cars and how to get Super Wheelspins.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Barn Finds are in Forza Horizon 6? Fifteen, according to players who have mapped them all. The final two need the Gold Stamp.
How do you unlock Barn Finds? Earn Discover Japan Stamps in the Collection Journal. Each new Stamp unlocks more Barn Find rumors on the map.
Can you find a barn before its rumor unlocks? No. Players report that nothing happens if you reach a barn before its Stamp unlocks it.
Are Barn Finds tied to Wristbands? No. Wristbands track Festival progress toward Legend Island, while Barn Finds follow Discover Japan Stamps, so an explorer can collect them without racing the Festival at all.
Can you miss a Barn Find? Nothing suggests so. Rumors follow Stamp progress, which only goes up, and the barns stay on the map until you claim them.
