Processional of the Damned, the fourth and final story expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, comes out on December 8, 2026, on PC and consoles, Owlcat Games announced on Steam on November 4. It is part of the game’s second season pass, and Owlcat calls it the last expansion for the game.
The Details
The expansion takes the Lord Captain beyond the Koronus Expanse to the Processional of the Damned, a graveyard of dead ships and barren worlds circling a collapsing star called the Reaper’s Eye. Per its Steam store page, Owlcat promises:
- A new companion, Stella, a Miraculist of the Order of Saint Cognatius whose visions lead the crew into the Processional. Owlcat says your choices and your bond with her decide her fate, and the price of getting out.
- The Zealot archetype, open to Stella, mercenaries and the Rogue Trader, built around fanatical conviction in combat. Owlcat first detailed it in October.
- Hallucinations and hidden corruption that twist what your party sees, across derelict ships, xenos ruins and abandoned survivor enclaves.
- Grenade launchers for your crew, which the announcement names as new gear.
Owlcat has not posted a separate price for the expansion yet. It is included in Season Pass 2, which is $29.99 on Steam and also covers DLC III, The Infinite Museion, plus an appearance pack. Owlcat says each of the two season pass stories runs around 15 hours.
What This Means for Players
If you own Season Pass 2, there is nothing to buy: Processional of the Damned unlocks for you on December 8. Players who stopped after the main campaign get a reason to return, since a fresh companion and a new archetype change how you build a party, and the season pass is the cheaper way in if you skipped The Infinite Museion too.
