Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was the most downloaded PS5 game on the PlayStation Store in October 2026, in both the US and Canada and in Europe, Sony said on November 4 in its monthly top downloads post. BeamNG.drive made the top 3 on both PS5 charts, and Hard Bullet led PS VR2.
The Details
The PS5 top five, by region:
| Rank | US/Canada | EU |

| 2 | BeamNG.drive | EA Sports FC 27 |
| 3 | EA Sports FC 27 | BeamNG.drive |
| 4 | Phantom Blade Zero | Phantom Blade Zero |
| 5 | Madden NFL 27 | Minecraft |
Star Wars: Galactic Racer placed eighth in both regions. Further down the US and Canada top 20 are Ace Combat 8 (9th), Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival (13th), and Marvel’s Wolverine (14th); in Europe, Grand Theft Auto V (11th), The Witcher 3 (12th), and ARC Raiders (13th) all charted. Sony counts PlayStation Store purchases and leaves out upgrades.
The other charts:
- PS4: Red Dead Redemption 2 was first in both regions.
- PS VR2: Hard Bullet was first in both regions.
- Free to play (PS5 and PS4): Once Human led the US and Canada, and Fortnite led Europe.
What This Means for Players
BeamNG.drive is the story of the month. It arrived on PS5 in early access on October 19 at $24.99, so a driving sandbox that spent years on PC reached the top 3 in both regions in under two weeks. If you just picked it up, our BeamNG.drive PS5 car and map list shows what is in this version.
Phantom Blade Zero placing fourth in both regions fits with S-GAME’s announcement that it sold more than 4 million copies in its first 72 hours, and our Phantom Blade Zero best build is the place to start. Modern Warfare 4 players can read what Season 1 brings and our DMZ map guide.
Further down, our Ace Combat 8 mission list, Star Wars Galactic Racer character list, and Hellraiser Revival review cover three more of the month’s charting games. Rockstar’s older games still sell, too: with GTA 6 pre-loads starting November 10, GTA V made the European PS5 top 20 and Red Dead Redemption 2 topped PS4 in both regions.
