Pokemon Pokopia: How to Get Leaves

The best way to get leaves in Pokemon Pokopia is a renewable loop: use Leafage to regrow tall grass, then use Cut on it, and repeat indefinitely. That turns leaves from something you scavenge into something you farm in one spot.

The Renewable Loop

Leafage is taught by Bulbasaur early in the game. Cut comes from Scyther, obtained by building a Tree-shaded Tall Grass habitat and bringing it 2 Sturdy Sticks, as our lumber guide explains.

With both, you can stand in one place, regrow grass, cut it, and regrow it again. There is no daily cap and nothing to travel for.

On dry or barren ground you may need to water the tile with Water Gun first so grass will grow there at all. That step is widely reported though not officially confirmed, so if grass refuses to sprout, try watering before assuming the spot is unusable.

The Manual Methods

If you have not unlocked Leafage yet, there are two slower options.

Hold Y near a plant to pull it from the ground. This is common in the Withered Wasteland and fine early on.

Use Cut on tall grass and vines wherever you find them, which is the same action as the loop above without the regrowth.

The Passive Method

Venusaur and Vileplume both have the Litter specialty, meaning they drop leaves in their habitats without any input from you.

Pair either with a Gather specialty Pokemon assigned to a Community Box, and the drops get collected automatically. That is the standard Pokopia farm pattern, and it applies to far more than leaves, as our best Pokemon guide covers.

Set that up once and leaves stop being something you think about.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest way to farm leaves?

Use Leafage to regrow tall grass, then Cut it, repeating in the same spot. It is renewable and has no cap.

Where does Leafage come from?

Bulbasaur teaches it early in the game.

Can I get leaves without doing anything?

Yes. Venusaur and Vileplume drop them passively through the Litter specialty. Add a Gather Pokemon and a Community Box to collect them automatically.

Why won’t grass grow where I used Leafage?

The ground may be too dry. Water the tile with Water Gun first.
