Reissad Studio shipped Bodycam patch notes for V0.8 #5 on September 18, 2026, and the most useful part is not a fix at all. The notes open with an explanation of why queueing with friends is still missing.
Why Parties Are Still Broken
The studio says its main focus is bringing back the ability to queue together and play with friends, and that this is not a simple fix to re-enable. The party system is being rebuilt on top of a new connectivity layer, and that rework has knock-on implications for the anti-cheat.
That is a more honest answer than most patch notes give. It also means players waiting on party support should expect it as a future milestone rather than a line item in the next hotfix.
What Actually Shipped
A first anti-AFK system. Reissad describes it as a raw first implementation designed to detect genuinely inactive players and move them back to the lobby, keeping active matches cleaner. Expect it to be tuned.
Settings and interface. Film Grain is now a toggle rather than a slider setting, and the map vote timer has been shortened.
Match flow. Player count reliability improved across game modes, and several green-square team indicator bugs were fixed, including indicators disappearing after player state changes and the host not seeing them on bots.
Loadout and optics. You can now preview reticles on magnified optics in the loadout editor, which is a real quality-of-life addition for a game where optics choice matters. Magnified reticle positioning and sizing inconsistencies were fixed, along with a bug where loadout camera rotation landed off-centre after inspecting an item, an SG9-X bundle issue where the magazine did not unlock correctly, and flashlight socket sizing on the Sabor attachment.
Weapons and animations. Grenade animations were added and polished, with improved curves and blending, plus polished flash animations and fixes for lasers appearing invisible to other players.
Stability. Tablet screen rendering was reworked for artifact-free UI and less invasive reflections, and extra crash-reporting data was added from the loadout and settings screens.
What This Means for Players
The reticle preview is the change most likely to alter how you play. Bodycam’s whole visual pitch is a camera that fights you, and being able to see how a magnified optic actually frames a target before you commit to it removes a lot of guesswork. Our best settings guide covers the rest of the visibility problem, and the new Film Grain toggle is worth revisiting there.
If you have been hitting technical problems rather than gameplay ones, our launch fixes guide covers the common culprits.
When and Where
V0.8 #5 is live now on PC through Steam, the only platform Bodycam is on. Party and friend queueing remain disabled while the connectivity rework continues.
