In The Sims 3: Supernatural, becoming a zombie gives your Sim a temporary undead state with unique interactions and behaviors. Whether you want to explore the chaotic fun of being a zombie or experiment with supernatural hybrids, there are several ways to turn your Sim into one.
Method 1: Zombification Elixirs
If your Sim has built up their Alchemy skill, they can craft zombification elixirs to either use on themselves or throw at others.
Zombification Elixir
- Requires level 3 in the Alchemy skill.
- Temporarily turns a Sim into a zombie for around two in-game days.
Potent Zombification Elixir
- Requires level 10 in Alchemy.
- Causes a longer-lasting zombification effect.
How to Use:
- Level up the Alchemy skill at an Alchemy Station.
- Gather ingredients such as Mandrake Root and Red Toadstools.
- Craft the elixir and have your Sim drink it or throw it at another Sim.
Method 2: Full Moon Zombie Bite
During a full moon (if lunar cycles are enabled), zombies may rise and roam the world. If your Sim is bitten during this time, they can become a zombie as well.
Steps:
- Wait for a full moon phase.
- Allow your Sim to be attacked by a zombie.
- Your Sim will turn into a zombie for a limited time.
Zombies created this way usually revert back to normal after about two days.
Method 3: Reanimation Ritual (For Witches)
Witches with a high enough spellcasting skill can use the Reanimation Ritual to bring a dead Sim back to life as a zombie.
Steps:
- Make sure your Sim is a witch with a high spellcasting level.
- Obtain an urn or tombstone of a deceased Sim.
- Perform the Reanimation Ritual to raise them as a zombie.
Zombie Behavior and Traits in The Sims 3
- Zombies walk slowly, groan, and may attempt to bite other Sims.
- They have limited social interactions and can’t perform many complex tasks.
- Zombies often experience negative moodlets, but they can be fun to play for chaos or storytelling.
- Their zombified state is temporary unless recast or extended.
How to Cure Zombification
If you want to reverse zombification:
- Use a Potent Cure Elixir crafted through Alchemy.
- Cast the Sunlight Charm if your Sim is a witch.
- Avoid full moons to prevent re-infection.
Zombies can also be protected against in your game by fencing in gardens (zombies love attacking plants) or disabling full moon effects via game options.
