Jagex released Havenhythe Part II for RuneScape on September 28, 2026, opening the rest of the island beyond Amberfell, according to the studio’s launch post. The update adds a new story quest, skilling activities in the Exalted Quarry and the Boglands of Fenmoor, three new Sanguine-touched creatures and a rework of Havensilver, with a new boss following on October 12.

What Havenhythe Part II Adds

  • Heralds of Crimson, the next story quest, carries the Sanguine storyline toward Shuruk-Ba. It requires Secrets of Amberfell plus 55 Herblore, 51 Crafting, 65 Mining and 60 Smithing.
  • The Exalted Quarry at Heathervein trains Mining and Crafting together: Essence Lumps, Chunks and Slabs at 65, 85 and 105 Mining, processed into Rune Essence at 51, 71 and 91 Crafting. It also yields Exalted Essence, which Jagex pitches as a “less click intensive” way to train Runecrafting.
  • Fenmoor adds petrified trees at 65, 85 and 105 Woodcutting and Bogolin totems at 65, 85 and 105 Fletching, with rewards including the Fenshell Knife and the Bogolin Sogtorch.
  • A Divination activity at 77 Divination (after part of Heralds of Crimson) has you return Colossi memories to murals for Divination and Agility XP.
  • New creatures: Sanguine Bogolins and Sanguine Werewolves need no Slayer level to fight (werewolves need 72 Slayer to be assigned as a task), while Ravenous Strigoi need 104 Slayer.

The island also gets three more tree types, two fishing spots and new farming patches and seeds.

The combat change matters if you already own Havensilver gear. Creatures weak to Havensilver used to take 50% less damage from every other source; that penalty is gone, and Havensilver now deals 50% more damage to Sanguine creatures instead. Crimson Ichor from the new creatures feeds three new Sigil Codices.

What This Means for Players

Finish Heralds of Crimson before October 12. Jagex says completing it is required to face the Ghrazi Blood Knights, which it calls RuneScape’s “first duo-only boss encounter,” so line up a partner now. The studio will go behind the scenes on the update in a livestream on October 1, and RuneFest streams on Twitch on October 3 from 1 PM UTC. Separately, Jagex has set November 23 as the date by which players must use up the MTX items it is removing.
