A free demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is out now on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, Konami announced on October 1, 2026. It covers the game’s opening chapter, and your progress carries over to the full game, which launches on October 15.
What’s in the Demo
- The opening chapter of the game, which Konami’s European announcement calls “the early stages of the game.”
- Save carryover: keep your demo save, then update the full game on the same platform and account to continue where you stopped.
- Frame rate: 60 fps, or 30 fps on Nintendo Switch.

The Full Game
Belmont’s Curse launches on October 15 on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, and the ESRB has rated it T for Teen. In Japan, Konami is also running a demo feedback giveaway on X until October 14.
What This Means for Players
With launch two weeks away, this is the easy way to decide whether to buy, and because saves carry over, nothing you play is wasted. Belmont’s Curse is one of our biggest games coming out in October, and it’s tied into the series’ anniversary: Konami’s 40th anniversary concert tour includes a Belmont’s Curse performance, and the original Castlevania is free on phones for the anniversary.
