Dimraeth‘s Early Access (September 15, 2026) opens with 3 classes and 3 races, the first slice of an unusually ambitious plan: the full game intends 8 races and 6 classes for 48 distinct Archetypes, where every race-and-class pairing gets its own skill tree. Here’s what’s playable today and how the system is meant to grow.
The Launch Classes
- Mage (called “Magician” in some official materials): the elemental spell-blade, wielding fire, ice, and lightning.
- Brawler: the close-combat grappler, built on fast, feral strikes.
- Shadow: added for the Early Access launch; Mudtek hasn’t published an official description yet, so treat any detailed claims about it elsewhere with suspicion until the game speaks for itself.
The remaining three classes are unannounced; websites naming them are guessing (or worse; this game already has a swarm of fake AI “wikis”).
The Launch Races
Human, Elf, and Minotaur, with five more races planned across Early Access. In Dimraeth, race isn’t cosmetic: the archetype system means your race-class combination determines your skill tree, so a Minotaur Brawler and an Elf Brawler are mechanically distinct characters.
How Archetypes and Spells Work
The design’s ambition is in the multiplication:
- 48 archetypes planned (8 races × 6 classes), each with its own skill tree
- 300+ spells planned, with 5 equipped at a time
- Spells come from your race and class, plus universal spells anyone can learn via crafted spellbooks
At launch you’re choosing among 9 archetypes (3×3), with a level cap of 25 and an overhauled skill tree per the launch notes. Act 1 of the story (3 chapters) is the content frame; see our buy-now-or-wait guide for the full launch scope.
Which Should You Pick First?
Honest answer: it’s launch day of an Early Access debut, and nobody has a verified meta yet. Structural advice that will hold:
- Mage is the safest first pick for solo players; kiting with three elements is the classic opening build in every game of this shape.
- Brawler will live and die by the Souls-lite timing (stamina, dodges, parries); pick it if that combat loop is why you’re here.
- Shadow is the mystery box; in an 8-player co-op group, someone should absolutely be the guinea pig.
Your hero travels between worlds in Dimraeth, so an archetype you level isn’t trapped in one save; experimenting costs less than it looks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I respec? The launch notes mention an overhauled skill tree but not respec rules; we’ll update once the system is verified in-game.
Do races have different stats? Race changes your archetype and therefore your skill tree; exact stat differences per race remain to be documented in-game.
When do the other classes and races arrive? Across the planned 18-24 month Early Access window; no per-class dates are announced.
Is there a class tied to romance or companions? No. Romance is a separate stronghold-relationship system; see our romance overview.
