Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered are coming in Q1 2027, Stormind Games announced on September 29, 2026, and players who bought the original games digitally can upgrade for free, but only “during the first seven days after release”, according to the studio’s press release.
The Details
Both games, the first two chapters of the Remothered horror series, have been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 with sharper detail and new lighting. Stormind released a release window trailer for each: Tormented Fathers returns to the villa’s interiors, and Broken Porcelain to the inn and its Stalkers.
The free upgrade has clear rules:
- Who qualifies: anyone who bought Remothered: Tormented Fathers or Remothered: Broken Porcelain digitally, “including those who have only recently purchased them”.
- Where: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store.
- When: only during the first seven days after the remasters release.
- Who does not: owners of physical editions, and anyone who got the originals for free.
“The free upgrade is meant as a concrete thank you for the support we’ve received over time,” said Antonio Cannata, Stormind’s CEO and co-founder. The studio also ties the remasters to Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the next game, which it says “prepares to expand the universe further”.
What This Means for Players
If you own either original digitally, the seven-day window is the part to remember. It opens at release, and Stormind has not given exact dates yet, so wishlisting the remaster is the easiest way to get a reminder when it lands. Physical owners and anyone who claimed a free copy will need to buy it.

When and Where
Both remasters are due in Q1 2027. Store pages are live on Steam and PlayStation, and the free upgrade covers digital owners on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Steam, GOG and Epic for seven days from release. Prices have not been announced.
