Suri: The Seventh Note launches on PS5 on October 30, 2026, with pre-orders open now, game director Glen Martin of Tathvamasi Studios announced on the PlayStation Blog on September 28, 2026. It is the Bangalore studio’s debut game, four years in development, and a 2D rhythm platformer set in a mythical version of India.
What Kind of Game It Is
Tathvamasi Studios describes a world that moves to an enigmatic rhythm: you time jumps, dashes and tricks to the music to cross a treacherous island and, according to the game’s Steam listing, save the heroine Ajira’s mother. The studio lists Hollow Knight, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Rayman Legends among its gameplay inspirations. Every environment is hand-illustrated, with the island drawing on Rajput forts, Theyyam culture and Himalayan monasteries.
Martin’s post is mostly about the music. About 80 percent of the soundtrack was recorded on analogue instruments, with regional swaps such as a veena instead of a sitar in the south and Rajasthani traditions in the desert. The team settled on roughly 480 milliseconds between main beats, which Martin says leaves room for player input and a fail window without making the game feel slow. He describes the result as a hip-hop-like structure layered with Indian percussion. Suri is part of the PlayStation India Hero Project, which the studio credits with helping build its Rhythm Haptics Engine on PS5.
Editions and Price
The PlayStation Store lists two digital editions:
- Standard Edition, $19.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition, $24.99, adding an exclusive Chandini Skin, DLC the post does not describe, and three days of early access
PlayStation Plus members get 20 percent off either edition when pre-ordering, which brings them to $15.99 and $19.99. The Chandini Skin and the DLC will not be sold separately, but buying the Deluxe after launch still includes both.
What This Means for Players
You do not have to buy blind. A free demo is already downloadable from the game’s PlayStation Store page, and a rhythm game lives or dies on whether its timing clicks for you. PC players are not left out either: the Steam page lists the same October 30 date, though without a price yet.
