New Game Plus is coming to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced next week, Ubisoft announced on October 22, 2026 in a short Steam post. Posted on a Thursday, that puts the mode in the week starting Monday, October 26.
The Details
The whole announcement is two lines: “Thank you for your patience everyone. New Game+ is coming to Black Flag Resynced next week!” The “patience” line suggests the studio knows players have been waiting for a second run since the remake launched on July 9.
That is everything Ubisoft has confirmed so far. The post does not say:
- the exact day or the patch number that adds it;
- what carries over into a new run (Jackdaw upgrades, outfits, weapons, money or collectibles);
- whether New Game Plus raises the difficulty or adds new rewards;
- whether it starts from a finished save or needs the story completed first.
We expect patch notes to answer those questions when the update goes live, and we will cover them then.
What This Means for Players
If you finished the story, keep your completed save. New Game Plus modes usually start from one, and the questions above decide how much of your progress comes with you.
If you are mid-campaign, there is time to wrap up the late-game content first. Our guides cover how to beat every Legendary Ship, how to get all the Templar Keys and how to repair your ship between fights.
If you are coming back later, a fresh run is a good time to relearn the basics, starting with Eagle Vision. Every guide for the remake and the rest of the series is on our Assassin’s Creed hub.
