Cross-progression in Marvel Rivals is live for everyone and is set up in game, not on a website. The path is Settings, then Other, then Account, then Account Binding. The thing it does not carry across platforms is your competitive rank, which stays separate per device.
How to Link
- Open Settings.
- Go to Other, then Account, then Account Binding.
- Choose a platform other than the one you are currently logged in with.
- Complete the verification step and wait for confirmation.
Linkable platforms are Steam, Epic Games Store, Loading Bay (NetEase’s own launcher), PlayStation, and Xbox.
You then designate one account as your primary character. That is the progress everyone else inherits: log in on any linked platform and the primary character’s collection loads. Choose carefully, because the account you pick is the one that survives.
Cross-progression rolled out to all players with the Season 5 update on November 14, 2025. Before that it was an invite-only beta, which is why older guides and the original launch FAQ still claim the feature does not exist. Ignore those.
What Does Not Carry Over
This is the part worth reading twice.
Competitive rank and leaderboard standing are stored per device. PC, PlayStation, and Xbox each keep their own Career record, battle data, rank, and leaderboard position. Your cosmetics follow you; your rank does not. If you grind to Diamond on PC and then play on console, you start that ladder fresh.
Platform-exclusive costumes stay platform-locked. Log in elsewhere and they display as the default skin.
Discord and Twitch drop integrations do not migrate. Both need rebinding manually on the new platform.
The Cooldowns
These are easy to walk into by accident:
- 180 days before you can rebind a platform you previously unlinked. That is not a typo, and it is long enough to make an impulsive unlink genuinely costly.
- 30 minutes of cooldown after switching your primary character.
- One PlayStation Network account can be bound at a time.
- Tournaments and Factions require the designated device.
Because of the 180-day rule, treat unlinking as close to permanent. Decide your primary account before you start, not after.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my competitive rank transfer between platforms?
No. Rank, Career data, and leaderboard standing are stored separately for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Only your account progress and collection follow the primary character.
Where do I link my accounts?
In game, under Settings, Other, Account, Account Binding. It is not done through a web portal.
Can I unlink and relink freely?
No. There is a 180-day wait before you can rebind a platform you have unlinked.
Do my skins transfer?
Yes, with the exception of platform-exclusive costumes, which stay locked to the platform that granted them.
Does linking let me play ranked with friends on other platforms?
That is a separate question from linking. Our crossplay and ranked guide covers which modes actually match across platforms.
