Dream Islands in Pokemon Pokopia are uninhabited resource islands you visit through Drifloon, and the doll you show determines which island you get. They are fixed rather than randomly generated, so there is no rerolling for a better one. You get one island per day, though you can return to that same island as many times as you like.
Getting Access
Befriend Drifloon, found on the west coast of Withered Wasteland, by completing its habitat: three lit campfires placed together.
After that, have a doll in your bag, then either interact with a placed doll or talk to Drifloon and choose “I wanna go to a Dream Island.” Pick your doll, confirm the preview, and go.
Dolls come from glowing spots broken with Rock Smash, from the islands themselves, and from the Pokemon Center terminal as Palette Town’s Environment Level rises.
Every Doll and Island
| Doll | Island | Key materials |
|---|---|---|
| Eevee | Wasteland | Leppa Berry, Vine Rope, Glowing Mushrooms |
| Pikachu | Ocean | Twine, Sea Glass, Seashells |
| Clefairy | Rock Peak | Cave Mushrooms, Copper Ore, Limestone, Ice |
| Arcanine | Volcanic | Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Glowing Stone |
| Dragonite | Sky | Wastepaper, Pokemetal Fragments, Crystal Fragments |
| Starmie | Basin | Sea Grapes, Coral, Gubby Pearls (Bubbly Basin DLC only) |
| Ditto or Substitute | Random | Varies |
The Ditto and Substitute dolls are the only randomness in the system, and they are how you reroll if you simply want variety.
The Best Island for Stone
This is the most common question, and the honest answer is that it depends what you mean by stone.
For Limestone, which is what the Concrete Mixer needs, the answer is Rock Peak via the Clefairy doll.
For metal ore, meaning Iron, Gold and Glowing Stone, the answer is Volcanic via the Arcanine doll.
If you are chasing Wastepaper for paper production, that is the Sky island and the Dragonite doll.
Use the Whole Day
Islands reset at the end of the day, and anything you did not collect is lost. Since you can return to the same island repeatedly within that day, the efficient pattern is to make several trips and empty your bag at home between them rather than trying to do it in one visit.
There are no wild Pokemon living on Dream Islands, though they can host Legendary encounters, with different Legendaries associated with different islands. Rock Peak is the exception with none.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Dream Islands can I visit per day?
Drifloon will take you to one island per day, but you can return to that island as many times as you want before the day ends.
Which Dream Island is best for stone?
Rock Peak (Clefairy doll) for Limestone. Volcanic (Arcanine doll) for iron, gold and glowing stone.
Can I reroll to get a rarer island?
Not for the themed islands, which are fixed to their dolls. The Ditto and Substitute dolls send you to a random island.
Do Dream Islands have Pokemon living on them?
No residents, though Legendary encounters can appear on several of them.
