Which Is Actually Worth It
If you have never played Control, the Siblings Collection is the interesting option, because it answers a question you would otherwise ask later. It works out cheaper than buying both separately, and while our guide on whether you need to play Control first explains that you genuinely do not, plenty of people finish a good sequel and immediately want the original.
The Digital Deluxe is the weakest value of the three unless you specifically want the artbook and soundtrack. The Starter Resource Bundle is the only item that touches gameplay, and starter bundles rarely matter for long in a game with full progression systems.
One thing to be careful about: Deluxe is widely reported to include 48 hours of early access, but the evidence is inconsistent. Aggregator sites say Deluxe preorders play early and that this is PlayStation-only. The Xbox Digital Deluxe store listing lists no advanced access days at all, and the Steam page does not advertise early access either. So either it is genuinely PS5-exclusive or the claim is noise. Do not buy Deluxe on Xbox or PC expecting to play early, because nothing official supports that.
Physical Buyers Should Know
The physical disc release has moved to October 15, 2026, three weeks after the digital launch. Remedy’s art director cited disc-pressing lead time, testing and logistics, wanting the final master locked before pressing.
