For most players, the Standard Founder’s Pack ($24.99) is the one to buy for AION 2: it has the five days of early access, the 30-day membership and the supply chest, the only parts that affect how you play. The Deluxe ($49.99) and Ultimate ($99.99) tiers add cosmetics only, and NC states that none of them grant stats, so step up only if you want the looks.
Below we compare all three tiers using NC’s official Founder’s Pack notice and the Steam store, work out what the membership is worth, and cover the purchase rules on upgrades, platforms and refunds. This applies to the global PC version on Steam and PURPLE. No pack is required to play: AION 2 is free for everyone from October 5, 2026.

On Steam on September 28, the same three tiers cost £18.49, £36.99 and £73.99 in the UK, and €21.25, €42.49 and €84.99 on euro stores. NC sets its prices in US dollars and says other currencies vary with exchange rates.
The details behind the names, per NC:
- Daeva’s Campaign Supply Chest: 10 each of Return, Courage, Speed, Benediction and Absorption Scrolls, 100 Life Potions, 50 Life Serums, 30 Healing Potions, 10,000 Power Shards and 5 Resurrection Spiritstones.
- Vanguard of Atreia: a Unique-grade title.
- Ascended Daeva: a seven-piece armor skin (breastplate, greaves, helm, pauldrons, gloves, boots and cloak).
- Daeva’s Styling Chest: one Customization Voucher and one 7-day Appearance Change Voucher.
- Moonlit Aria: a six-piece armor skin (everything but pauldrons).
Every item is bound: it cannot be traded, deleted or stored. NC’s terms say the title, both armor skins, the weapon skin, the pet and the wings “are appearance-only products, and no additional stats are granted.”
What the Membership Is Actually Worth
The Special Quai Membership is the most important thing in the box. NC’s Team Update prices it at $15 a month on its own and says “an active Membership is required to trade on the Market.” Per NC’s membership notice, it unlocks:
- Buying on the Market, plus both buying and selling on the World Market (without it, you can list items on the Market but not buy)
- The Kina and Quna Exchange, the player-run swap between the gameplay and premium currencies
- Remote Storage from your inventory, plus the Wind Breeze Merchants shop
- A second Odyle Energy injection when opening reward Cubes from Expedition, Transcendence and Sanctuary, and a higher Odyle Energy cap
- Personal Trading up to five times a day, with a caveat: NC has since disabled direct player-to-player trades as an anti-bot measure
So the Standard pack is roughly a $15 membership plus $10 for early access, the supply chest and the title. If you would subscribe anyway, that is cheap. For comparison, see what World of Warcraft costs each month.
Two timing details matter. The 30 days start when you click Activate, not when you buy, per NC. And the benefits cover every character on the server where the membership applies, but no other server, so settle on a server before activating. Which Pack Fits Which Player
- Skip the packs if you are happy starting October 5 and do not plan to trade. Nothing in them adds power.
- Standard if you want the five-day head start and plan to use the Market. It is the best value tier by a wide margin.
- Deluxe if you want a distinctive armor set and weapon effect from day one. It costs $25 more than Standard for two cosmetics.
- Ultimate if cosmetics are a big part of why you play. It adds a second armor set, wings, the Black Dragon pet, which NC’s showcase says you can ride across Atreia, and the vouchers to redo your character’s look.
Rules to Know Before You Pay
- One pack per account. NC allows one Founder’s Pack per account, on PURPLE or Steam, in one tier. Buying on both platforms adds no rewards, and early access does not stack.
- You play where you bought. A Steam purchase plays through Steam only and a PURPLE purchase through PURPLE only. Both share the same servers.
- Upgrades are PURPLE only. NC lists Standard to Deluxe at $25, Standard to Ultimate at $75 and Deluxe to Ultimate at $50, the difference between tiers. It lists no upgrade for Steam purchases.
- It is a limited-time sale. Packs are sold only until the end of the early access period.
- Refunds have a window. Per NC, you can cancel until launch; after launch, refunds are possible within 14 days if you have played under two hours. Each platform’s own refund policy also applies.
