Satisfactory is getting its first paid DLC, a “major expansion” called Core Values, Coffee Stain Studios announced on September 29, 2026, during The Big Break Showcase. There is no release date or price yet. The studio’s Steam post links store pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and says the console versions are coming soon.
What Core Values Adds
The expansion takes the game underground. In Coffee Stain’s words, pioneers “reach into the crust of MASSAGE 2(A-B)b”, the planet the base game is set on. There, in a different setting with its own resources, flora and fauna, you build an underground factory network with new production lines and buildings, and learn more about the world the deeper you dig.
That is the full official description so far. The store art shows a cave setting and a one-eyed creature, and you can watch the announcement trailer, but Coffee Stain has not named any of the new resources, buildings or creatures. Treat any list you see elsewhere as guesswork until the studio publishes one.
What Isn’t Known Yet
- Release date: Steam lists it as “To be announced”, and the official site says TBA.
- Price: not listed on Steam.
- Consoles: Coffee Stain says PS5 and Xbox versions are “coming soon”, with no date.
- A free update alongside it: nothing has been announced either way.
The one hard requirement is on the Steam page: you need the base game to play it.
What This Means for Players
There’s nothing to buy or prepare for yet. Wishlisting the Steam page is the easiest way to hear when a date lands. If you haven’t started Satisfactory, the base game was 30% off on Steam at the time of writing, which gives you plenty of time to build a surface factory before you need to take it underground.
