Lightyear Frontier leaves Early Access with its 1.0 release on November 4, 2026, on Steam and Xbox. Developer FRAME BREAK announced the date at Coffee Stain’s Big Break Showcase on September 29, per the official announcement. The mech farming game has been in Early Access since March 2024.
What 1.0 Adds
FRAME BREAK has shown these in its recent beta posts:
- “An epic story finale” to close out the main story.
- Two all-new regions: the Sandswept Highlands and the Hollow Marsh.
- New tool upgrades, including the Seed Shooter Minigun and the flying Skyblazer transform mode.
- “No more day transitions”, new difficulty options, and fewer deliveries with queueing.
Your existing saves carry over to 1.0, so there is no need to start a new farm. It ends roughly two and a half years in Early Access.
Price and Platforms
Lightyear Frontier’s price goes up to $29.99 / €29.99 / £23.49 at 1.0. It’s currently 40% off on Steam until October 3, which FRAME BREAK calls “the last sale before the 1.0 price increase”, bringing it to $14.99.
The 1.0 release is coming to Steam and Xbox. The game left Xbox Game Pass on March 15, 2026, so Xbox players need to buy it. PlayStation hasn’t been mentioned.
What This Means for Players
If you’ve been waiting for 1.0, the cheapest time to buy is now, before the sale ends on October 3; you keep your progress when 1.0 lands. It’s a gentle farming and exploration game with mechs, so fans of our Stardew Valley, Coral Island and Fields of Mistria guides are its natural audience.
