Microsoft Jewel, the Match-3 puzzle game from Microsoft Casual Games, is out now as a standalone app on iOS and Android, Microsoft announced on Xbox Wire on September 30, 2026. Microsoft calls it “our first new mobile launch in seven years,” and it comes with Xbox achievements on your phone.

- Free to download on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases and ads.
- Xbox Achievements on mobile, earned by signing in with a Microsoft account.
- Cross-progress between the iOS, Android and PC apps, so your progress follows you.
- Daily Challenges, like Microsoft’s other casual games.
Jewel was already playable on PC, inside Microsoft Solitaire Collection and in the Xbox mobile app. This is its first standalone phone release, and the fifth mobile app from Microsoft Casual Games.
The Game Pass Perks
Microsoft splits the benefits by tier:
- Xbox Game Pass members get Premium benefits on PC, “including an ad-free experience and additional in-game benefits.”
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members get those Premium benefits on both PC and mobile.
Xbox Wire doesn’t list the other Premium extras, so the ad-free play is the one confirmed perk for now.
What This Means for Players
If you already play Jewel on PC through Solitaire Collection, you can pick up where you left off on your phone. For achievement hunters, it’s an easy Gamerscore source you can play anywhere. It’s the latest in a busy week for Xbox players, after Disc to Digital opened to everyone and Xbox started testing Mythic Achievements.
