Yes on both, but not at the same time: Enshrouded is out now on PS5 and PS5 Pro, after launching on October 15, 2026 alongside the 1.0 release on Steam, while the Xbox Series X|S version is planned for spring 2027. Keen Games confirmed both in its official 1.0 release date announcement on June 25.
Updated October 16, 2026: The PS5 version is out now at $39.99, with a $49.99 Deluxe Edition, and PS Plus members get 10% off either one until October 29. Keen’s launch FAQ also confirms the game is not cross-platform at launch. Xbox is still planned for spring 2027, with no exact date.

Enshrouded on PS5: Launch Date and Time
The PS5 version is not a later port. It launched the same day the game left Steam Early Access, and Keen’s official launch map said it would unlock on Steam and PS5 “at the same moment worldwide”: 8:00 AM Pacific, 11:00 AM Eastern and 4:00 PM UK time on Thursday, October 15. The PlayStation Store’s product listing for the PS5 version now gives that same 15:00 UTC moment, after showing a later 5:00 PM UTC time before launch. Keen’s press release names “PlayStation 5, and the PlayStation 5 Pro,” and the store lists the game as PS5 Pro Enhanced. There is no PS4 version listed.
What the PS5 Version Includes
The PlayStation Store listing spells out the basics:

Two differences from PC stand out. First, PS5 co-op tops out at 8 players, where the Steam version supports up to 16. Second, online play needs a PS Plus subscription, as with most PS5 multiplayer games.
The game is now on sale on the PlayStation Store in two editions. The Standard Edition is the base game. The Deluxe Edition adds three exclusive Class Outfit Packs, a digital artbook, a high-resolution printable map of Embervale and the original soundtrack. Steam players can buy the same outfits, artbook and map as a $9.99 Deluxe Upgrade Pack. Keen has only mentioned the PlayStation Store when talking about where to buy the PS5 version; we have found no announcement of a physical edition.

Enshrouded on Xbox: Spring 2027
The Xbox Series X|S version was meant to launch with everyone else. In Keen’s June 25 press release, CEO Jan Jöckel says the team “worked tirelessly to launch Enshrouded 1.0 and its exciting new content simultaneously across PC, PlayStation 5, Playstation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S,” then explains the delay:
“As we approached launch, we decided that achieving the level of quality and performance we expect on Xbox would require additional time. We never want to rush a platform release or compromise on quality. Development of the Xbox version is progressing steadily, and we’re planning to bring Enshrouded to Xbox players in spring 2027.”
Keen points to the technical load as the reason, describing a game that “combines large-scale voxel building, fully terraformable worlds, advanced multiplayer systems, and a vast open world in ways that are technically very demanding.” No exact Xbox date has been announced, and Keen has not said anything about Xbox Game Pass. Keen’s announcements name only Xbox Series X|S, not Xbox One.
Switch 2, Mac and Other Platforms
- Nintendo Switch and Switch 2: not announced. Keen’s FAQ names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the console versions it planned after Early Access, and no Keen announcement since has added a Nintendo version.
- Mac and Linux: the Steam version lists Windows only.
- GeForce Now: Keen’s FAQ says Enshrouded is available on NVIDIA’s cloud service, which is one way to play the Steam version on hardware that cannot run it locally.

Should You Buy on PC or PS5
Pick the platform your friends are on. Keen’s launch FAQ says Enshrouded “will not be cross-platform at launch.” Keen says it is working on cross-platform play but has “no current estimate on how much time it will take,” and it has announced no way to move a Steam save to PS5, so a PC group and a PS5 group cannot share a world for now. PC is the choice for bigger groups (up to 16 players) and dedicated servers, which Keen’s documentation describes setting up through Steam. PS5 is the simpler option for a group of up to 8 that already plays on PlayStation, and the PS5 Pro gets enhanced support.
