Enshrouded’s 1.0 Launch FAQ Confirms Early Access Saves Carry Over, but No Crossplay Yet

Keen Games published a launch FAQ for Enshrouded‘s 1.0 release on October 13, 2026, two days before the survival RPG leaves Early Access on October 15. It promises a 1.0 trailer on October 14 and the full changelog “a whole day in advance of the release.”

The Details

The FAQ’s answers to the biggest questions:

  • No need to rebuy. “You do not need to buy Enshrouded PC again if you own the Early Access version.”
  • Saves carry over. Early Access saves work in 1.0 and will be converted to “a new, more efficient format.” Keen still “strongly encourage[s]” a fresh start, because the world and the first few hours of the game have changed a lot.
  • No crossplay at launch. “Enshrouded will not be cross-platform at launch.” Keen is working on it but has “no current estimate on how much time it will take.”
  • An Early Access thank-you. Early Access players get three exclusive decorative base props, a four-meter statue, a tome with the old Early Access “E” logo and a signal light, claimed from “Redeem Add-Ons” in the escape menu. Newer players can have a friend who owns them place them in their world.

Keen says all of its Twitch drops can already be found in-game, so these props are the only Early Access exclusive.

What This Means for Players

If you have a long-running Early Access world, it will load in 1.0, but the reworked opening hours are the reason to start a new character at least once. Groups that span PC and console will have to wait for crossplay, so pick one platform for now if you plan to play together. Before you log out of Early Access, claim the three props so they are on your account.
