On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, crossplay with PC in Delta Force is your choice: switch the Crossplay option on in the game’s settings and you can match with, and squad up alongside, PC players; leave it off and you stay in a console-only queue that PlayStation and Xbox players share. PC players report there is no switch on their side at all, and Team Jade has said it does not plan to match mobile players against PC.

How Crossplay Works in Delta Force
The rules come from the game director. In a console Q and A published before the August 2025 console launch, Shadow Guo wrote that “console players can choose to play with or against PC players, or they can choose to stay in a console-exclusive queue.” The same post confirms three more things:
- PS5 and Xbox share the console queue. Turning PC crossplay off does not split PlayStation from Xbox.
- Progression follows you. The team said it wants players to “effortlessly sync their progression between all platforms.”
- The servers treat everyone the same. Shadow Guo said the tick rate is identical on PC and console.
Mobile is separate. In a 2024 Ask Shadow Anything post, Team Jade said it does not plan PC and mobile crossplay because it “would be unfair to players on both platforms,” and we have found no announcement since that changes that.
How to Turn On Crossplay on PS5
Player reports on the forums describe the same path. Menu names can shift between seasons, so look for the Crossplay label if a tab has moved:
- From the Black Site, enter the lobby.
- Press the Options button to open the menu, then go to Settings.
- Open the Game tab and scroll to Crossplay.
- Press X to switch it on (or off).
Player reports say the option starts switched off on consoles, so if you have never touched it, you are probably in the console-only queue right now.
How to Turn On Crossplay on Xbox
The in-game toggle works the same way on Xbox: press the Menu button, open Settings, go to the Game tab and switch Crossplay on with A.
Xbox adds a second gate. Your console’s privacy settings decide whether you can play with people on other networks at all, and at the August 2025 console launch, Xbox players on the Steam forums reported a warning that blocked them until that system setting allowed cross-network play. Team Jade’s August 28, 2025 update then “enhanced cross-platform toggle guidance on Xbox.” If the in-game switch does nothing, open your Xbox settings, go to Account, then Privacy and online safety, then your Xbox privacy details under Communication and multiplayer, and make sure cross-network play is allowed for the profile that plays Delta Force. Child accounts may need a parent to change it.
How to Squad Up With a Friend on Another Platform
- Both players need crossplay available. A console player must have the in-game toggle on (and, on Xbox, cross-network play allowed). A PC player has nothing to change.
- Add each other in game. Long-time players on the Steam forums recommend searching for your friend by their in-game name and sending an invite from the lobby.
- Pick a mode and queue together. The squad leader starts matchmaking as normal.
If you play on more than one platform yourself, the developer’s promise of synced progression means your operators and unlocks should follow your account.
Should You Leave Crossplay On?
That depends on who you play with. Crossplay on means bigger lobbies and the ability to play with PC friends, but it also means facing mouse-and-keyboard players. Opinions on the Steam forums cut both ways: some console players say the game felt far more playable once they turned crossplay off, while some PC players complain that console aim assist is too strong.
