The v0.8 update gave Bodycam a real progression economy: Reissad Points (RP), earned by playing, unlock weapons and a catalog of roughly 400 attachments. You start with a base weapon and grind from there, and after two balance patches the rates are finally reasonable. Here’s how the economy works and where RP flows fastest.
The RP System
- Every match pays Reissad Points based on your play.
- RP buys weapons and attachments (about 400 of them across optics, barrels, grips, and more).
- Attachment prices were cut 25 to 30% in patch #3 after the community’s “progression too slow” verdict, so launch-week complaints about the grind are already dated.
- RP is capped at 50,000. The V0.8 #6 patch notes (September 25, 2026) raised the cap to 50,000 and added an on-screen indication when you reach it, so spend before you hit the ceiling. Our V0.8 #6 breakdown covers the rest of that patch.
Where RP Flows Fastest
Mode multipliers decide your earning rate:
- Versus and Wingman: +100% RP, the highest multipliers in the game (set in patch #2).
- Hardpoint: +75%.
- Standard modes (TDM, Deathmatch, Gun Game) earn base rate.
- Private/custom lobbies: 50% rate (restored in patch #3 after briefly earning nothing), so friend-group nights still progress you, at half speed.
The efficient loop: queue Versus or Wingman when you’re grinding for a specific weapon, and treat casual TDM as the slow-drip.
Are There Operators to Unlock?
A common confusion worth clearing: Bodycam doesn’t have a hero-shooter roster. “Operators” are your player characters wearing cosmetic operator skins, and those come from the shop, which is currently disabled. The things you unlock by playing are weapons and attachments via RP, and rank/ELO, which moves only in Wingman 2v2.
Spending Advice
- Weapons before attachments: a new gun changes your game more than a third optic for the old one.
- Test attachments in the new HUB’s firing range before buying; it exists precisely so you stop wasting RP on guesses.
- Check prices after every patch: this economy has been rebalanced twice in two weeks, and the trend is in the player’s favor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I lose RP or unlocks on updates? Unlocks persist; the devs restored purchased cosmetics through the v0.8 transition and RP balances carry.
Does Wingman rank affect RP? Rank and RP are separate tracks; Wingman just happens to pay both at once, which is why grinders live there.
Can I earn RP against bots? Bot-backfilled matchmaking counts as its mode; private-lobby farming pays the 50% rate.
Fastest single mode for a new player? Versus, with the +100% multiplier and shorter learning tax than Wingman’s competitive lobbies.
