“Prisma” is the community’s shorthand for Prismana, the rare variant form in Aniimo, and there are four ways to get one: pick one free when you reach the Wayfarer I title, trigger a Prismana Flow in the open world by building up an area’s Prismatic Energy, hatch a Prismana egg, or catch one during a limited event. The free pick is guaranteed; the open-world route runs on published odds with a pity system behind it.
This guide covers the live game as of the version 1.1 update of September 23, 2026. It explains what a Prismana Aniimo actually is, walks through each method with the odds Pawprint Studio publishes, lists the current event spawns, and separates Prismana from the Sparkling and Umbral variants, which are different things.
What a Prismana Aniimo Is
The developer’s official Aniimo Wiki lists a separate Prismana Form for more than two dozen species, almost all of them final-stage (Nova) Aniimo. A Prismana Form has its own look, and many gain or swap an element:

In the entries we compared, the wiki shows the same base stats for both forms, and it lists Prismana-named skill variants for these species, such as Glynsera’s Prismana Slash and Sherro’s Prismana Slam. So a Prismana is a rarer, differently typed version of an Aniimo you may already own, not a raw stat upgrade.
Method 1: Take the Free Prismana Pick
Every player gets one. Pawprint’s launch announcement lists it as a free reward: “Reach Grade I Wayfarer and you can pick one Aniimo in its Prismana Form.” Wayfarer I is a title rank that comes after the three Student ranks, so this unlocks through normal story and title progression rather than any purchase. Player guides say the pick comes from a fixed list of species, so compare the options on the wiki before you choose.
Method 2: Trigger a Prismana Flow by Nurturing
This is the repeatable open-world method. Each area builds up Prismatic Energy, and a Prismana Flow draws Prismana Aniimo into that area. Nurturing and lucky catches both push you toward one. Per Pawprint’s September 3 letter and later patch notes:
- Nurturing builds energy. Ecosystem nurturing (the patch notes describe using Nurture Offerings to nurture Veins) grants a fixed amount of Prismatic Energy, and every nurture has the same flat chance of triggering a Prismana Flow. The developer says “The guarantee system remains,” so bad luck is capped by a pity.
- Lucky strikes help. Catching Aniimo can land a lucky strike, which gives items, adds Prismatic Energy and can trigger a Prismana Flow directly. Since the September 18 patch, when a lucky strike maxes out the meter, Prismana Aniimo in the area respawn immediately.
The official Probability Details page gives the numbers for nurturing with Vein Essence: a 3% chance of triggering a Prismana Flow directly, with pity at 10,500 Prismana. The same page lists a x6 catch multiplier for Tumblers used on Aniimo gathered by nurture, which makes them the item to save for these encounters.
Nurturing can also produce a Wild Surge with a chance of an Umbral Aniimo (more on those below). Player guides say nurturing unlocks per region as your collection progress grows, so fill out a region’s Aniilog before farming it.
Method 3: Hatch a Prismana Egg
Three official sources hand out Prismana eggs:
- Home levels 15 and 18 each reward a Mysterious Prismana Egg, added in 1.1.
- RV dispatches have a chance to produce Aniimo eggs with the Prismana trait, per the developer’s letter.
- Egg Heist Chaos Mode, open since September 24, has “significantly higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo Eggs.” It unlocks at Tier IV, “Elite Egg Seeker,” requires a Chaos Ticket to enter, and Pawprint says teaming up is highly recommended. Our co-op guide covers how Egg Heist squads work.
Method 4: Catch One During an Event
The 1.1 update notice added Vein Abundance, a rotating event that spawns a specific Prismana Aniimo in a designated region for a limited time. It unlocks at the Student II title:
- Prismana Form Melloblum in Rosetower Woods, from 04:00 on September 28 to 03:59 on October 5 (server time).
- Prismana Form Waleetle in Berylline Vale, from 04:00 on October 5 to 03:59 on October 12.
Player reports also say the paid Companion Handbook track includes a Prismana Fulmintis; the wiki confirms that form exists, but we have not confirmed the reward officially. Our free-to-play guide covers what the paid tracks cost.
Prismana, Sparkling and Umbral Are Different
- Prismana: a separate form with its own wiki entry and element changes, from the methods above.
- Sparkling: a style roll tied mainly to Sparkling Cubes, which guarantee the catch and Perfect Potential. The odds page puts a Sparkling Cube catch at 99% Common Sparkling Style and 1% Dazzling. The 1.1 update temporarily hid unobtained Sparkling Forms in the Aniilog.
- Umbral: Aniimo with Perfect Potential and distinctive coloration, found through Wild Surges or by chance in the open world.
