Charting the Unknown, the DLC for Crimson Desert that Steam lists as Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, now launches on October 29, 2026, two weeks after its original October 15 date, Pearl Abyss announced on September 30. In a Steam post, the team said it needs “additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience.”
The New Release Times
Pearl Abyss gave one global unlock moment:
- North America: October 29 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET.
- Europe: October 29 at 22:00 UTC / 23:00 CET.
- Asia: October 30 at 7:00 KST/JST.
The DLC’s Steam store page still showed the old October 15 date when we checked, so trust the announcement over the listing until the page updates.
What Charting the Unknown Adds
The store page lists it at $24.99 and describes an expansion that pushes past Pywel’s coast:
- Sailing and diving. You take command of a ship, sail to new islands offshore, and dive for underwater treasures and sunken ruins.
- New fights. New “formidable foes” across land and sea.
- Life in Pywel. Renting and managing facilities to earn money, an upgraded Housing mode, and more ways to build bonds with the people of Pywel.
- New stories for Kliff, Oongka and Damiane, including “an ominous presence in the desert” and “a journey beyond time.”
What This Means for Players
If you pre-purchased, there’s nothing to do: the content just arrives two weeks later. The new date also puts it on the same day as Phantom Blade Zero and close to a packed stretch that includes Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, so check our upcoming game releases calendar if you’re planning your month.
