The next Minecraft LIVE is on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1 PM ET, Mojang confirmed this week, with Xbox Wire flagging the return on September 24. Mojang describes the show as lasting between thirty minutes and an hour depending on how much it has to share, and it is streamed on the official Minecraft channels.
Why the Timing Matters
This show lands at an interesting point in the update cycle. Mojang published the first 26.4 snapshot on September 22, and as we noted in our Minecraft 26.4 guide, that snapshot arrived with no drop name and no theme. Each of this year’s drops (Tiny Takeover, Chaos Cubed and Wilderness Bound) got its name partway through its snapshot cycle, so a Minecraft LIVE a few days into 26.4 is the natural place for Mojang to name it and show what it contains. That is our read of the timing, not a Mojang promise: the official page only says the show brings “the latest game announcements, exclusive reveals, developer updates, and community celebrations.”
The previous show, Minecraft LIVE Summer 2026, streamed on May 30.
How to Watch
Minecraft LIVE is free to watch on Minecraft’s official YouTube channel and the other official Minecraft channels listed on the Minecraft LIVE page. It starts at 1 PM ET (10 AM PT, 6 PM in the UK) on Saturday.
What This Means for Players
If you are already playing the 26.4 snapshots, Saturday is when the features you are testing are most likely to get context, and possibly a name. If you are not, it is a good moment to catch up: our 26.4 guide explains what Snapshot 1 changed, including Vulkan becoming the default graphics API on Java Edition. Java players waiting for the drop can use the time to refresh their setup with our 50 best Minecraft mods, and anyone planning to play with friends will find Minecraft on our best co-op PS5 games list. We will cover the announcements when the show airs.
