The Ocarina of Time remake is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, definitively. Nintendo’s own US store page is titled “Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive,” and there is no original Switch version to buy, upgrade from, or stream. Original Switch owners cannot play this remake in any form.
Why There Is No Upgrade Path
This matters because Nintendo has two different things going on with Switch 2 releases, and they get confused.
