In The Sims 2, Woohoo is a romantic interaction between two Sims that represents intimacy and love. Unlike real-world mechanics, Woohoo in The Sims 2 is playful, stylized, and used to deepen relationships or pursue a family path. Whether you’re aiming for romance or drama, this guide will walk you through exactly how to Woohoo in The Sims 2.
Requirements for Woohoo in The Sims 2
Woohoo isn’t available right away — your Sims need to meet a few conditions first.
- Relationship Level
The two Sims must have a high daily relationship (around 70 or higher) and a strong lifetime relationship (around 35+).
Flirt, hug, and kiss to build intimacy. - Romantic Status
Your Sims need to be in a committed relationship. This can mean:- Going Steady (Teens only)
- Engaged
- Married
- In Love (Romantic crush status can sometimes work)
- Age Restrictions
Only Teen (with certain objects), Young Adult (in University), Adult, and Elder Sims can Woohoo.
Note: Teen Woohoo is only possible using specific beds in University and only with other teens. - Proper Location
Woohoo can only be initiated in specific objects. See below.
Where Can Sims Woohoo in The Sims 2?
Different expansions unlock new locations for Woohoo:
- Double Bed – Available in the base game
- Hot Tub – Requires Nightlife or University
- Photo Booth – Nightlife expansion
- Changing Booth – Nightlife expansion
- Car – Nightlife expansion
- Elevator – Apartment Life expansion
- Tent – Bon Voyage expansion
- Sauna & Hammock – Bon Voyage and select holiday packs
- Dressing Room – Open for Business
To Woohoo, click on the bed or object and select “Relax” for both Sims. Once both are relaxing on the object, the “Cuddle” interaction will appear, followed by “Woohoo” when the relationship is high enough.
Try for Baby vs. Woohoo
If your Sims are adults and you’re using a bed, you’ll also see the “Try for Baby” interaction. This works similarly to Woohoo, but includes a chance of pregnancy.
You’ll hear a lullaby sound if the Try for Baby was successful.
Tips for Woohoo Success
- Make sure both Sims are in a good mood before trying.
- Use romantic socials like Make Out or Caress to build up to it.
- Woohoo can boost aspiration if your Sim has a related want (like “Woohoo in a hot tub” or “Woohoo with 3 different Sims”).
