To use MC Command Center (MCCC) in The Sims 4, install it in your Mods folder with script mods allowed, then click any computer on your lot and choose MC Command Center to change its settings, or click a Sim to run commands on that Sim. The same menus open from the cheat console too: press Ctrl+Shift+C and type mc_settings, or mccc followed by a Sim’s first and last name.
Below we cover a clean install, where every menu lives, the console commands worth knowing, the settings players change first, and what to check when the mod vanishes. MCCC is a script mod, so this is PC and Mac only: per EA, mods cannot be installed on PlayStation or Xbox.
What MCCC Is
MC Command Center is a free mod by Deaderpool, who says on the official MCCC site that it was inspired by Twallan’s Master Controller for The Sims 3. It gives you control the base game locks away and adds story progression, so the neighborhood marries, has children and moves house while you play one family.
It is modular. The core file, mc_cmd_center, is always required, and every other module is optional:
- MC Pregnancy and MC Population drive neighborhood story progression.
- MC Cheats adds world and Sim cheat commands.
- MC Cleaner tidies up homeless ghosts, married names and old outfits.
- MC Dresser, MC Tuner, MC Occult and the rest each handle one area, from outfits to autonomous behavior.
- MC Woohoo holds the adult settings and is a separate download that requires MCCC.
As of the current patch, the official downloads page lists MCCC 2026.5.0, tested with the September 22, 2026 update (PC 1.128.90.1030, Mac 1.128.90.1230) and every pack up to Royalty and Legacy. EA does not screen or support any mod, MCCC included.
How to Install MCCC
- Download it from the official site. The Downloads page lists supported releases, with Patreon and the MCCC Discord as free alternatives.
- Unzip every archive. Put all the .ts4script and .package files in the Mods folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods).
- Stay no more than one folder deep. Per Deaderpool’s install guide, Mods\MCCC works but Mods\Script Mods\MCCC does not, because the game only looks one level down for script mods.
- Turn on both toggles. In Game Options > Other, tick Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed, then restart.
- Watch for the startup notification. A loaded MCCC lists its version and modules. No notification means something is wrong.
To upgrade, delete the old MCCC .ts4script and .package files first, but keep mc_settings.cfg, mc_tuner.cfg and mc_dresser.cfg, which carry your settings over. Our guide to installing mods and custom content covers the Mods folder in more detail.
Where to Find the Menus
MCCC splits settings from commands, which is why modules can seem missing:
- Computers hold the settings. Click any computer and choose MC Command Center. MC Woohoo has only settings, so it appears here and nowhere else.
- Sims hold the commands. Click a Sim and choose MC Command Center for per-Sim actions such as Sim Commands > Modify in CAS.
- Mailboxes hold MC Cheats. MC Cheats has only commands, so the official FAQ says it will never appear on a computer.
Per the MCCC documentation, the console reaches everything, even with no computer or mailbox on the lot:
- mc_help lists every command from the modules you installed.
- mc_settings opens the computer settings menu anywhere.
- mccc First Last opens the Sim menu for anyone, including ghosts you cannot click and Sims on other lots.
- mc_cheats opens the mailbox cheats menu.
- sim_move First Last moves a Sim to your active household, another household or a new one.
For a two-part surname, wrap it in quotes, as in George “Van Winkle”.
Settings Players Change First
Deaderpool’s settings search gives these exact paths, all starting from the computer’s MC Command Center menu:
- Stop random NPC pregnancies. Go to MC Pregnancy > Pregnant Sim Selection > Pregnancy Percentage and set it to 0; each age group has its own value. For planned babies in your own family, see our guide to having twins and triplets.
- Keep homeless Sims out of houses. Turn off MC Population > Moving Settings > Allow Homeless Move-In. The FAQ adds that setting a lot’s bed count to zero in its lot info keeps that one house empty.
- Protect your family tree. Give relatives the Never Cull flag before turning on MC Cleaner’s Clean Ghosts, which clears strangers’ ghosts.
- Run a household bigger than eight. MCCC Settings > Gameplay Settings > Maximum Household Size goes up to 104. Add Sims with sim_move, and edit them with Modify in CAS: the FAQ warns the normal Create a Sim edit is hard-coded to eight and can delete the extras.
- Change aging. MCCC Settings > Age Settings > Set Age Span Duration sets the days in each life stage per lifespan, and Stop Human Aging freezes Sims at a chosen stage.
- Nudge careers. MC Cheats on a Sim offers Career Promote, Career Demote, Reset Career Branch and Change Vacation Days.
If you only want aging off, the base game can do it without a mod; our guide to turning off aging covers the options. EA’s own cheats handle most one-off jobs too.
When MCCC Stops Working
- After every patch. EA disables mods on each update. Re-tick both toggles, and grab the MCCC release whose compatibility note covers your game version.
- Files too deep. Move everything into Mods\MCCC or straight into Mods. If that fixes it, Deaderpool says the resources.cfg file in your Mods folder is bad; delete it and the game makes a new one.
- LastException warnings. MCCC reports these but does not cause them. Per the official troubleshooting page, they almost always come from out-of-date mods or CC elsewhere in your folder, and the warning cannot be switched off.
- Known conflicts. The FAQ names Pregnancy Mega Mod, Sticky Clothes and sachamagne’s Autosave among mods that clash with MCCC.
- OneDrive errors. A “Permission denied” error naming OneDrive means your Mods folder is syncing; Deaderpool advises turning that off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does MC Command Center work on PS5 or Xbox? No. Per EA, mods are only available on PC and Mac, and MCCC is a script mod.
Is MCCC free? Yes. Public releases are free on the official site; Patreon supporters get unfinished early builds.
Why is there no MC Command Center option on my computer? Check that Script Mods Allowed is ticked, that the files sit no more than one folder deep, and that your MCCC version matches your game patch.
Can I open MCCC without a computer? Yes. Type mc_settings in the cheat console to open the settings menu anywhere.
Why do I keep getting LastException messages? They point to broken or outdated mods or CC in your folder, not to MCCC itself. Remove or update the culprit.
