Why Towers Matter
The core of WARDOGS is the Control Zone: per BULKHEAD, the team with the most players inside it earns points, and the first to 100 wins. Inside that zone is the Hot Zone, a shifting sub-zone where each player counts double and cash pays double. Towers are the main way to pull the Hot Zone somewhere your team is ready for it. PCGamesN calls the tower code a “hot zone magnet.”
Players on the Steam forums also report that towers are indestructible, which makes them strong anchor points for a nearby FOB in a game where most buildings can be flattened.
How to Capture a Tower
- Get inside the tower. The terminal sits in the control room on the second (middle) floor.
- Interact with the computer and hold until the hack completes. Shacknews lists the default interact key as F.
- Read the digit. The captured tower displays one number of the code.
- Repeat at the other towers to collect the remaining digits. Your team needs every digit.

How to Use the Tower Code
Once your team knows every digit, go to the keypad beside the terminal and enter the code. If it is correct, the Hot Zone is drawn to that tower for a period of time. Sources disagree on which side of the terminal the keypad sits, so look on both.
There is no fixed “tower 4 code.” The digits come from capturing towers during the match, so any code posted online is useless in your game. Unofficial guide sites say codes are regenerated every match, and nothing we have seen from any reputable source suggests otherwise.
Wrong codes lock the keypad. Outlets agree a few incorrect attempts put the keypad on a short cooldown, but they disagree on how many attempts you get, so double-check the digits with your team before typing.
Code length also varies. Shacknews reports it depends on how many towers the match uses, and players report codes from two to five digits.
Why a Tower Says Unavailable
Towers have a cooldown at the start of each match and again whenever they change hands, per PCGamesN and GameRant. During that window you cannot capture them. Sportskeeda reports the map shows who owns each tower and how long until it can be captured again. GameRant puts the cooldown at around ten minutes, though that figure is not confirmed elsewhere.
Drills: The Other Way to Move the Hot Zone
Towers are not the only magnet. A Drill Rig, built at a FOB with the Large Hammer, runs on Fuel Supplies and pulls the Hot Zone to itself when activated, per Shacknews and other outlets. Players report that once teams have Large Hammers, many build several drills and rotate between them rather than fight over tower codes.
