Lily, the new Resonator in Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, with lavender hair under a dark hood surrounded by white lilies and blue butterflies

Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” is scheduled for release on November 12 (UTC+8), Kuro Games said in its Version 3.8 preview on November 6, 2026. Kuro has not given a start time yet. November 12 in UTC+8 begins at 11 AM EST (8 AM PST) on Wednesday, November 11, so in the US it lands sometime between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.

The Details

New Resonator and weapon. Lily, a new 5-star Resonator, leads the update with her own 5-star weapon, Lullaby.

Banners. Phase I opens with Lily’s banner, Bloom of Yesterday’s Dreamsoil, alongside two reruns: When the Runes Glitter and Wanderer Knows No Far and Near. Phase II brings three reruns: Voices on Azure Feathers, Blessings From Dewy Winds, and Thousand Futures Mirrored in Snow. The weapon banners pair Lullaby with Solsworn Ciphers and Emerald Sentence in Phase I, then Azure Oath, Firstlight’s Herald, and Frostburn in Phase II. Two Reverb Convenes run too, Starpath Reverbs II for Resonators and Tideforge Reverbs II for weapons.

Story and challenges. The main quest continues with Chapter IV, Act V, “A Bouquet for Tomorrow,” and a new Tactical Hologram challenge, Calamity Effigy, arrives.

Cosmetics. Hiyuki gets a deluxe outfit, Lune Noire, and an accessory, Flaming Sakura.

Events. Six are listed: Second Coming of Solaris: Unwritten Dreams and Lahai-Roi Blocks: Turnabout (leisure), Lollo Campaign: Groundwork (featured commission), Dreamfield Odyssey (combat), plus two login events, Gifts of Bygone Dreams (7 days) and Whither the Wind.

What This Means for Players

The quality-of-life list is the part every account will feel:

  • Rover’s Resonance Conversion gets a new page, and Rover’s equipped Echo set now switches automatically to the one saved for each Resonance Attribute.
  • A Material Locator button in the Guidebook and the Resonator Ascension Planner teleports you to the challenge that drops what you need, or starts it immediately. A new Blitz Mode restarts a material challenge without reloading.
  • Resonator animations are smoother, with work on turning in place, movement transitions, and hit reactions in combat.
  • On PC, the launcher can install Full or Basic Resources, with a better Resource Cleanup tool, though Kuro says both are rolling out gradually as a limited test.
  • On consoles, a Performance or Quality setting arrives, but not on the base PS5 or Xbox Series S. PS5 Pro gets PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, upscaling to up to 4K.

Steam players should also note the launcher change we covered in Wuthering Waves on Steam switching to Kuro’s launcher. For what the last update added, see our Wuthering Waves 3.7 content story and our look at Suoming’s kit.
