EA Sports says newly generated players are entering FC 27‘s Career Mode with higher starting overall ratings than intended, and that it is working on a fix. That comes from its first Career Mode Developer Update, published September 29, 2026. It is holding off on changes to the new Stamina and Dynamic OVR systems for now.
What EA Is Fixing
- Overpowered regens: EA says it is aware of “newly generated players entering Career Mode with higher Starting OVRs than expected”, has “identified an issue contributing to this”, and is working on a fix.
- Playtime demands: it is “reviewing player playtime demands”, the transfer requests that start when squad players feel they aren’t getting enough minutes.
- Loan and transfer offers: players you list for loan or transfer should get more offers once balancing changes land.
- Liga BBVA MX: EA is aware of problems with how the league progresses, including the Clausura half of the season.
- The Team Management screen is getting visual updates.
What EA Is Leaving Alone
EA isn’t changing Stamina or Dynamic OVR yet: “we want to give everyone some more time to play with them and see how the experience develops across longer Career saves before making any significant changes.” If you were hoping a patch would undo either system soon, this says it won’t happen yet.
What This Means for Players
None of these fixes has a date or a title update number yet, so this is a to-do list, not a patch. In the meantime, the regen bug skews youth scouting: generated players arriving too strong can crowd out the real prospects in our best young players for Career Mode list, so weigh them carefully in long saves.
