Dressmaker is planned for Switch and mobile, but neither has a date: the developers said at launch that they are “planning mobile and Switch ports.” There has been no word on PS5 or Xbox, so for now the game is only on Steam for Windows and Mac.
Below is exactly what the developers have said, what that means for each platform, and a warning about fake mobile listings already using the game’s name. Dressmaker launched on September 21, 2026.
What the Developers Have Said
The only official statement on ports is in the developers’ launch post: “We’re also planning mobile and Switch ports, which have been requested constantly on our various social media channels.”
That is a plan, not an announcement. It gives no release date, no window, and does not say which phones. Free Lives’ own press kit lists the platforms as Windows and macOS.
Switch
A Switch version is planned, per that launch post, but has no date and no store listing yet; Nintendo’s eShop search showed nothing for Dressmaker as of October 5, 2026. Players have also asked about Switch 2 on the official forum, without a developer reply. If you want to play on a handheld now, Dressmaker runs on Steam Deck, which our guide to Dressmaker on Steam Deck covers.
PS5 and Xbox
There is no official word on either. The developers have not mentioned PlayStation or Xbox in any post, and players asking about PS5 on the official forum have not had an answer. A console version would also need controller support, which the game does not officially have yet. The community manager said in June that controller support “could potentially change in the future if we have to port it to another platform.”
Mobile: Beware Fake Listings
A mobile version is planned, but the developers have not said when or for which phones, and there is no official Dressmaker app on the App Store or Google Play.
There are fakes. Players reported Google Play listings reusing Dressmaker’s Steam screenshots under an unrelated developer, and the community manager replied on October 1: “those have 100% NOTHING to do with Dressmaker.” Until the developers announce a mobile release on their own channels, treat any Dressmaker app as unofficial.
What You Can Play On Right Now
Dressmaker launched on Steam for Windows and Mac on the same day, and it is a light game. The minimum requirements on its Steam page are:
| Windows | Mac | |
|---|---|---|
| System | Windows 10 or later | macOS on Apple silicon |
| Processor | Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen | Apple M1 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | Intel UHD 630 or better, DirectX 11 | Built into the M1 |
| Storage | 2 GB | 1 GB |
The developers list no recommended specs, only these minimums. It costs $14.99 on Steam and has full audio in English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
How to Hear About a Port First
The developers post their news on the game’s Steam page, so following the game there is the most reliable way to hear about a Switch or mobile date. Our guide to Dressmaker’s controls covers where controller support stands, which any console port depends on, and every guide is on our Dressmaker hub.
