There is no free roam after the credits in Marvel’s Wolverine, because the game is linear and has no open world to return to. What you get instead is Mission Select, full collectible cleanup, and a second post-credits scene that only unlocks if you complete every Nightmare Door trial to standard.
The Hidden Second Scene
One post-credits scene plays for everyone when the story ends. A second, separate scene is gated behind finishing all of the Nightmare Door trials at a sufficient medal standard.
This is the single best reason to engage with the side content. It is not a New Game Plus reward and it is not tied to difficulty, so a first playthrough can reach it as long as you clear the trials. Our collectibles guide covers where the doors are and what the trials involve.
Cleaning Up
Because nothing is missable, post-game is when most players do their collecting. Use Mission Select from the Nightmare Cabin: reach it from the Title Screen or any Nightmare Door, then interact with the bed.
From there you can replay any completed mission, and helpfully you can change difficulty on a replay, so a mission that gave you trouble is not a barrier to cleanup. Per-mission completion percentages show exactly what each one still owes you.
This is also where you farm. Later missions with large enemy counts and the Nightmare Trials are the best XP, and Material Crates fund the remaining suits, each of which raises Logan’s maximum health.
New Game Plus
New Game Plus shipped at launch. The level cap rises from 36 to 40, and your levels, Adaptations and suits carry over. Our New Game Plus guide covers it properly.
Worth knowing before you commit: no trophy requires a specific difficulty, so there is no forced hard-mode run for the Platinum. If you want to replay on The Best There Is, do it because you want the fight, not because a trophy demands it.
A Sensible Order
Finish the story first without detouring much. Then use Mission Select to sweep collectibles chapter by chapter, which is efficient because of the per-chapter tracking. Clear the Nightmare Door trials last, once your Adaptations and health are built up, since that is both the hardest content and the thing gating the second scene.
