Sims 2: How to Become a Werewolf

To become a werewolf in The Sims 2, befriend the Leader of the Pack, the big wolf with glowing yellow eyes that wanders in at night, and once the relationship is strong enough (roughly 50 daily and lifetime), wait for him to Nibble your Sim; the transformation is immediate. Werewolves come with the Pets expansion. Here is the full process, the spread, and the cure.

Finding the Leader of the Pack

Regular strays visit any lot, but the Leader of the Pack stands out: a large, dark wolf with unmistakable glowing yellow eyes, appearing at night by chance. You cannot summon him directly, but interacting with every stray that wanders by raises your odds of him showing eventually, and lots with open access (no fences blocking the road) see more visits.

Earning the Nibble

  1. Be outside at night when he appears, and greet him.
  2. Build the relationship: play, give food, pet, and generally charm the wolf across visits until daily and lifetime relationship both sit around 50.
  3. Wait for the Nibble. At high relationship he will autonomously nibble your Sim, and the transformation hits on the spot: fur, fangs, and a new nightly routine.

Life as a Werewolf

Each evening your Sim wolfs out automatically, gaining a personality shift toward the feral (more outgoing, less nice) while transformed. Werewolves gain Body skill fast, howl to summon strays, and terrorize the neighborhood as desired. Days remain perfectly human.

A werewolf Sim can pass the curse deliberately: the Savage interaction on another Sim transmits lycanthropy, so one nibble can become a whole pack.

The Cure: Lycanthropic-B

Buy Lycanthropic-B from the Obedience Trainer (call her on the phone) or from the Gypsy Matchmaker, and have the afflicted Sim drink it. Human again, no side effects. As with all Sims 2 potions, keep the bottle away from Sims whose curse you like.

Tips Most Players Miss

  • The personality shift is real and permanent-ish: repeated transformations gradually push personality points toward the werewolf profile; cure early if you want the original personality intact.
  • Werewolves stack with careers fine, and the nightly Body skill gain quietly accelerates athletic career tracks (see getting a job).
  • Mixing states: a werewolf who moonlights as a witch or dodges vampires is peak Sims 2 chaos; see also PlantSims for the full occult tour.
