Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave: How Blessings Work

Blessings in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave are battle boons earned by volunteering at temples in Dagsion. There are seven, six unlocked through Temple Service and one, Fortuna’s, unlocked through story progression. You can equip up to four before a battle, and activating them costs Divine Sand.

How Temple Service Works

Pick up to two characters per temple, at a cost of one Motivation each, covered in our Motivation guide.

Service fills that god’s Blessing Level meter, and filling it unlocks or upgrades the Blessing to the next tier, running from level 1 to 3 for most gods.

Each god has a holy day, visible on the Calendar in the Adventure Journal. Serving on a god’s holy day fills its gauge faster, so it is worth checking the calendar before deciding where to send people. It is also better to spread service across temples than to tunnel one to maximum early.

The Seven Gods

Community documentation lists the tiers roughly as follows, with Divine Sand costs given as Normal and Hard:

God Levels 1 / 2 / 3 Sand cost
Aurora Halve physical damage / halve magical damage / neutralise Underworld Boon 15 / 20
Mars Hit +50 physical / HP recovery on kills / Strength +5 20 / 30
Smyrnos Hit +50 magic / magic range +1 / Magic +5 20 / 30
Jurah Neutralise effective damage / block follow-ups / block criticals 10 / 15
Kalla Avoid +50 / Speed +5 / Movement +2 20 / 40
Credna Vision +5 / zero weapon durability cost / attack first on enemy phase 10 / 20
Fortuna Rewind and revisit combat actions 0 / 5

That table comes from community documentation rather than Nintendo, so treat the exact numbers as a strong guide rather than gospel.

Two Entries Worth Reading Twice

Credna’s level 2 removes weapon durability cost. Since durability in this game is only consumed by Combat Arts, as our weapon repair guide covers, that effectively makes Combat Arts free while it is active. For a Combat Arts-heavy unit, that is the strongest economic boon in the list.

Fortuna costs 0 Divine Sand on Normal and 5 on Hard. Fortuna is the rewind, covered in our Rewind and Divine Sand guide, and that single line is arguably the mechanical spine of the difficulty difference. On Normal, undoing a mistake is free. On Hard, every rewind spends a resource you could have spent on a Blessing instead.

If you have been wondering what actually separates Normal from Hard beyond enemy stats, that is a large part of the answer. Our difficulty guide covers the rest.
