Goddess of Victory: NIKKE‘s 4th Anniversary Update launches worldwide on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Level Infinite and developer SHIFT UP announced on October 24 in a press release after the game’s 4th Anniversary livestream. It adds two new units and a free SSR, and it brings the main story’s Underground Ark plotline to a close.
The Details
New units. Level Infinite lists three:
- Marian: Queen, who “competes with the Space Queen for the ultimate prize” so she can build a world where her companions no longer die.
- Hongryeon: Goddeath, an “Eden-enhanced” form of Hongryeon carrying a dark-matter sword forged from her own and Jang-hwa’s shattered blades. (The release’s feature list calls the unit “Scarlet: Goddeath,” but its subtitle names Hongryeon.)
- Rapunzel: Sanctuary, a free SSR support unit with a Pope motif. Players can claim up to four copies through the anniversary events.
Story. Main Chapters 49 and 50 escalate into the full 3rd Surface Recapture War. Level Infinite says they conclude the Underground Ark plotline, with “a brand-new story chapter” still to be revealed. A separate “MARIA-n” story event follows Marian as she wakes in a research facility and takes her first steps on the surface, and a choice-driven visual novel minigame, “Fading Affection,” revisits her past.
A Stellar Blade music collab. The rhythm minigame TRACING THE STARS gets 22 Stellar Blade tracks, 4 of them free, plus note skins, backgrounds and “a special character addition.”
Costumes and rewards. Four costumes arrive: Marian: Queen’s wedding dress “Last Affection” and Snow White: Heavy Arms “Lacrimosa” in the gacha, plus Neon_Vision and Nayuta_Vision on the battle pass. Level Infinite puts the event haul at up to 259 free recruitment attempts, plus a 4th Anniversary Nikke Selection Box with a choice of Rapunzel: Sanctuary, Chime, Rapunzel: Pure Grace or Snow White: Innocent Days.
What This Means for Players
Think before you open the Selection Box. Rapunzel: Sanctuary is already free through the events, so the box is a chance to pick up Chime, Rapunzel: Pure Grace or Snow White: Innocent Days if your roster is missing them.
Catch up on the main story. Chapters 49 and 50 close a long-running arc, so players behind on the campaign have five days to get there before the update lands.
The gacha calendar is crowded. NIKKE’s anniversary lands just ahead of Genshin Impact Version 7.2, and players splitting a budget can compare Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 and Wuthering Waves 3.7.
When and Where
The update goes live October 29 on PC, iOS and Android. Outside the game, NIKKE takes over the One Times Square billboard in New York City for all of October 29, and Animate Los Angeles hosts an in-store event from October 31 to November 14.
