No: The Witcher 3 Remastered doesn’t add new achievements or trophies. It’s the same game updated, so the 78 achievements on Steam are unchanged and anything you’ve already earned carries over, per CD Projekt Red’s Remastered FAQ. The exception is PS4 players moving to PS5, whose trophies don’t transfer because the PS5 version has its own list.

What CD Projekt Red Says
CDPR’s FAQ describes the update plainly: “Remastered is an updated version of the same game… achievements you’ve already earned… will carry over.” Its support team and community lead Marcin Momot said the same on X. The official Steam achievement list still shows the original 78, with every original name.
Platform by Platform
- Steam and GOG: same achievements, and your unlocked ones stay unlocked.
- Xbox: the same 78 achievements worth 2,000 Gamerscore, per achievement trackers.
- PS5: the PS5 version has its own trophy list of 79, including the platinum, The Limits of the Possible, per trophy trackers: 53 from the base game, 13 from Hearts of Stone and 13 from Blood and Wine.
- PS4 to PS5: CDPR says the PS5 version is a different product, so PS4 trophies don’t carry over; you start the PS5 list fresh.
- Epic Games Store: players report the Epic version still has no achievements.
Mods Turn Off Console Unlocks

Two Achievements Need a Hard Difficulty
Most achievements work on any difficulty, but two depend on it, per Steam’s list:
- Ran the Gauntlet: finish the game on Blood and Broken Bones! or Death March!.
- Walked the Path: finish the game on Death March!.

The Remaster itself adds none, but the Steam listing for the Songs of the Past expansion is tagged with Steam Achievements, so the expansion is expected to bring its own. How many hasn’t been announced.
