Inzoi: How to Emote

In Inzoi, emotes are a fun and expressive way for your Zoi to show personality, strike a pose, or even perform custom animations. Whether you’re staging a photo shoot or just having fun around town, using emotes and creating your own can bring your Zoi to life.

How to Use Emotes in Inzoi

To trigger emotes in Inzoi:

  1. Enter Photo Mode
Click on your Zoi and select the camera icon to open Photo Mode.
  2. Open the Pose Tab
Inside Photo Mode, navigate to the “Pose” tab. This is where emotes live.
  3. Choose an Emote
Browse through the list and click on one. Your Zoi will immediately begin performing the selected animation.

This is a great way to stage scenes or just add personality to screenshots.

How to Create Custom AI Emotes

One of Inzoi’s standout features is the ability to generate AI-based custom emotes using real images or videos.

Here’s how to make your own:

  1. Open Photo Mode and go to the Pose Tab.
  2. Click the “Make AI Emote” button at the top of the pose list.
  3. Upload a Reference:
    • You can upload a photo (e.g. .jpg or .png) that shows a single person in a full-body pose.
    • Or, you can upload a short video (under 5 seconds, .mp4 or .mov) showing one person moving.
  4. Let the AI Generate Your Emote.
  5. Save It with a name you’ll remember.

Once created, your emote will appear in your Zoi’s personal list and can be reused anytime.

How to Perform a Custom Emote in Inzoi

After you’ve saved a custom emote within the game:

  1. Click on your Zoi in-game.
  2. Choose the “AI Motion” option.
  3. Pick your saved custom emote from the list.

Your Zoi will then perform the full animation based on your reference.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use clear references — no blurry or obstructed subjects.
  • Keep it simple — avoid overly complex movements.
  • Facial expressions must be handled separately using the Facial Expression tab in Photo Mode.
