The St. Amelia Medical Center in Silent Hill: Townfall is the game’s densest puzzle stretch, and nearly every answer comes from a document on a laptop nearby. The short version: vital signs come from the one monitor inside the manual’s valid range, X-ray settings from the X-Ray Dosage Table, infusion rates from the Medication Dosage Table in the patient’s weight column, and blood bags from matching each bag’s note to the patient notes on the wall.
Solutions are identical on Normal and Hinted puzzle difficulty and in New Game Plus, per GameRant. This guide names rooms and items but no story events. Careful here: PowerPyx and GameRant report that each mistake in this chapter’s medical puzzles lowers your hidden ending score.
Vital Signs for the Intercom Doctor
You need blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation, and several monitors show conflicting numbers. The Valentudo View S-100 manual on the laptop (Equipment Overview) tells you which readings to ignore, as quoted by GamesRadar:
- Blood pressure: disregard values outside the manual’s stated range.
- Heart rate: “values outside of 40 to 160 BPM are often inaccurate.”
- SpO2: “values under 75% are unreliable.”
Guides agree on BP 70/40 and SpO2 80%. The pulse is where they split: PowerPyx and KeenGamer give 160, GameRant 162. GamesRadar explains why: the readings fluctuate live (one machine showed 161 and read 162 when reported). So read your own screen, discard the monitors the manual rules out, and report what the remaining one shows at that moment. Choosing a bad monitor damages you.
X-Ray Puzzles
Both X-rays use values from the X-Ray Dosage Table on the laptop in the neighboring room. Align the camera over the white squares until the screen says the site is aligned, then set:
| Scan | Settings (GamesRadar, GameRant, PowerPyx, KeenGamer) |
|---|---|
| Skull | Power ON, Site Skull, kV 3, mA 7, Time 1 |
| Chest | Site Chest, kV 7, mA 3, Time 1.2 |
Press the green button, collect the prints from the printer, put them on the light box and relay what they show.
Records Room and Surgery Codes
- Records Room: 2605, pinned to a noticeboard in the upstairs office.
- Surgery door: 7103, from a pager message (KeenGamer).
- Hospital Storage phone: 5353, given by Dr. Glenn; dial it from reception.
Every other code in the game, from the first hotel door to the last facility, is in our codes guide.

Infusion Pumps
Read the Medication Dosage Table on the laptop in the 88 kg column; the patient’s weight is on the whiteboard.
| Drug | Dose | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Hydroxalene | 3 mg | 7 |
| Tensobromide | 11 mg | 8 |
| Dextracyclate | 2.5 mg | 15 |
Which pump gets which drug does not matter. Press Ready Pump on each, then start all three with the small white machine on the tray. Drug locations, per GamesRadar: Tensobromide in the pharmacy store left of surgery, Hydroxalene in the Records Room, Dextracyclate in bay 6 upstairs. The “Dailies – Infusion Status” email marks the likely spots. (PowerPyx spells the first drug “Hydroxaline.”)
Intubation
Move to each flashing red area in turn (right, then lower left, then top) and hold R2 (RT on PC controllers). The kit is in the basement storage, which the 5353 call opens.
Blood Bags and the Transfusion Door
Mild spoiler note: this section takes place in the changed version of the Medical Center, later in the same Part.
There are five blood bags. Per GamesRadar and GameRant, Alan Duncan opens the S.W. door, Lesley Greer (from Ward S) opens the D.P. door, and Sarah Watson, George McEwan and Matthew Clark go into the Blood Transfusion Door. Two release wheels in Ward D (rooms 05 and 10) must be turned to get out after the Matthew Clark bag drops.
For the transfusion door, match each bag’s condition note to the patient notes on the wall. GamesRadar’s matches:
- George McEwan: 2nd/3rd.
- Matthew Clark: verbal confused, motor obeys commands.
- Sarah Watson: regular pulse and head wound.
GameRant and KeenGamer number the slots differently, so go by the notes rather than slot numbers. Grab Strange Postcard 9 in Ward P room 08 before leaving the D.P. ward; GameRant warns you cannot return.
The Blood Type Dial
Simon’s wristband says he is A+, so he can receive O-, O+, A- and A+. Rotate the rings so only the lines for the compatible donors, T.F. (Thomas Fergusson), H.M. (Hannah McGregor) and S.W. (Sarah Watson), reach the center, then use the central Ordell section. GamesRadar, GameRant and KeenGamer agree on this solution.
If a puzzle refuses a correct answer, reload: Tom’s Guide hit a glitched, unsolvable puzzle late in the game that a reload fixed. The Silent Hill guides hub has every other Townfall guide.
