There are 13 phone numbers to call in Silent Hill: Townfall for the Cold Calling trophy, whose official description is “Call all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia.” PowerPyx, GameRant and Sportskeeda all count 13. Three of them come from the flyer at the very first phone booth, most of the rest are printed on documents, and two are only given out by a dial-back service whose behavior guides dispute.
Cold Calling is one of the rarest trophies in the game: Steam’s global stats showed only about 1.2% of players had it on September 29. The list and rules below will get you there. Area names appear, but no story events.
Rules That Trip Players Up
- Wait for the call to finish. PowerPyx reports that for most numbers you must let the dialogue play out until the call hangs up by itself, or it does not register.
- The right character must call. Numbers only connect in or after the chapter where they appear, and some only as a specific character. The Zoe numbers only work while you are playing as Zoe.
- The in-game list is not a tracker. “Discovered Phone Numbers” only shows numbers the current character can call.
- You do not need to find the paper. GameRant says typing a number works as long as you are in or past its chapter.
- None of them affect the ending. GameRant confirms no number is used for secrets or endings.

Dr. Glenn and Hospital Storage are required for the story, so you will call both anyway. The Council number is small and hard to read, according to GamerGuides, so zoom in on the document.

The 946 Dial-Back Dispute
The two “Unknown” numbers (496 0842 and 496 0112) come from dialing 946, a service that reads back the last number to call that booth. Guides disagree about when it works:
- PowerPyx says you can dial 946 at the Town Square booth in Chapter 3 to get 496 0842, even though you only officially learn 946 later, and do the same in Chapter 10 for 496 0112.
- Sportskeeda reports that on a first playthrough 946 only says nobody has called in the last seven days, and that both numbers only come through in New Game Plus.
- GamerGuides says you would “usually” only know the number in New Game Plus.
Our advice: try 946 at the Town Square booth in Chapter 3 anyway. If it gives you a number, call it. If it does not, plan to collect both dial-back numbers in New Game Plus. Trophy progress for Cold Calling carries across playthroughs, according to PowerPyx, so the numbers you called on run one still count.
